She Creates Change is a groundbreaking new series combining live-action documentary and animation sharing the stories of six unique girls who use life skills to overcome obstacles and transform their lives. Room to Read is an education-focused organisation tackling illiteracy and gender inequality around the world. By collaborating with local communities, governments and other partners they help children in historically low-income communities develop literacy skills and a habit of reading. Room to Read also supports girls as they build skills to succeed in school and negotiate key life decisions.

Without a stable income, Trang’s family struggled to make ends meet. Despite barriers, Trang used her talents to launch a comedy show on YouTube, supporting herself and her family as she became a national icon.

To defend herself against constant harassment, Yashika took up karate and learned resilience as she channeled her feelings toward action. She went on to become a national gold medalist, and taught other girls to defend themselves.
